Post a thread in this forum with Pro/Semi-Pro Photos of Cobra - GT40 - Daytona Coupe
Ok, this forum area is networked with www.automotomedia.net which is another site I attempt to run....That site is dedicated to photo pros and enthusiasts who love cars and motorcycles. Post the best. Nobody is going to be a judge, but don't make this the place you post random pictures. Consider this the art gallery.
Here's my feeble attempt at art.

Double checking that the network is working both directions.

03-27-2011 08:04 AM #4Hi Mark, did you edit the post to add the pics? One of the unfortunate things is that it is not 100% real-time and doesn't pick up edits, just original posts/replies. Lets see if when I quote your edited post if the pictures show up. They should.

I would call those pictures art by the way! Stunning, really!

Mark, they did show up here at AMM just fine. Thanks for posting! By the way, how did you create the blur effect on the first one? I suspect that it was great and then you took it to fantastic with a little work. I really like it.

High praise. Thanks. The blur was done by manually cutting out the cars (in photoshop) and then adding directional blur filter to the background.
The really neat thing (that you don't see in that particular shot) is that the 2 cars are just about the same length. I had no idea that the Bugatti was that small.
BTW, I'll join that new site and spread the word about it.

It'll be great to have you aboard and spreading the word is really important in the beginning. Hopefully we can get this new site off the ground quickly. Appreciate all your help on that front.
I would have never known they were similar size...I would have thought the Bugatti to be much longer.The Gear :: Canon 5D MKII :: 300 2.8l :: 135 2.0l :: 90mm TSE 2.8 :: 85mm 1.8 :: Sigma 50mm 1.4 :: 17-40l :: Sigma 14mm 2.8 :: two studio strobes

Ekrupa2, cool capture. Where is that?
If you don't mind a litte critique (I'm open to it too), smothing the sky a bit would make this an even better shot. Either way, I like it!The Gear :: Canon 5D MKII :: 300 2.8l :: 135 2.0l :: 90mm TSE 2.8 :: 85mm 1.8 :: Sigma 50mm 1.4 :: 17-40l :: Sigma 14mm 2.8 :: two studio strobes

BJ, really nice shot. What processing did you do on the photo?

Hi Brent
Can't answer that question mate as someone else took the pic. Seems they have done some background in black and white then highlighted the colour of the car somehow. Pardon my lack of knowledge on photography.
Cheers
Brett

Here is a shot from this years Daytona Rolex 24. The 1967 Ferrari P3/4 in this picture won in '67 Daytona 24HR race with Chris Amon and Lorenzo Bandini. All the Ford GT40 MKII's T-44 transmissions failed during the race due to improperly heat treated parts and pretty much took Ford out of the fight finishing no higher then 6th. We were asked to display our SPF Pathfinder Motorsports GT40R at the track that weekend and had a great time.

Brent Mills: My wife and I ran into you and your wife at the Monterey event 2012. We have the Daytona Cobra #64, blue/white stripes with red hash stripes on the front fenders. You mentioned that you got a shot of the car going through the "cork screw" during the parade laps. Please contact me as I'm dieing to see it. Brent---I have hundreds of photos from years gone by and a few thousand present day digital shots up close and far away of everything from race cars to the grand canyon and yellowstone---biggest problem is its impossible to upload them on club cobra/hotrod even after downsizing them--I have a Canon eos50d which is 15 mp ---how about doing something that will make it possible to share photos of interest and artiness without doing so much downsizing, etc?????????
